RIPOSTE: Sabre Fencing Training Tech
Most fencing equipment on the market is built for Foil or Epee, which are focused on point control and stabbing. That doesn't help with the high-speed slashing techniques required for Sabre. On top of that, training usually requires a coach or a partner to assist with drills, creating a major bottleneck for solo improvement of weapon control.
RIPOSTE is the first electronic training timer designed specifically for Sabre. Using high-speed LED feedback, it creates an unpredictable, reactive environment that mimics the pressure of a real bout. It gives Sabre fencers the ability to run high-intensity, competitive drills on their own, anywhere they choose.

How do we create a sports training timer that helps an athlete improve their skills in a meaningful and fun way?
Market Gap Identified:
Fencing technology has historically focused on Foil and Épée, weapons driven by point-control and thrusting. Sabre, which relies on rapid slashing and dynamic cuts, has been largely neglected in the market of fencing training tools. This creates a critical market gap for an interactive solo training device that eliminates the need for a live coach to conduct fast-paced reaction drills.
