Mirror Portrait

This painting explores the toxic effect of social media on body image and how it has affected me in the past. I created the piece on a large mirror I purchased from Goodwill. The reflective surface allows the viewer to put themselves in the shoes of the subject and acts as a reflection of how social media affects our world. I intentionally distorted the faces to show the distorting nature of social media.
