Educate

This work is about the negative side of online education. I carved a stamp of a student sitting at a desk in front of a computer screen that says “EDUCATE.” I then stamped it 306 times on top of school papers donated to the project by my classmates. The stamps vary in weight and opacity, creating an optical illusion-like effect. The large scale of the work and monotonous placement of the stamps highlight the repetitive nature of online education. 17ft by 3ft.
